Ready Steady: An Otago Exercise Program

Are you concerned about falling?

Join others in your community to learn simple, effective exercises designed to improve balance and build strength. 

Dates: 8 Wednesdays, February 26 – April 16
Time: 11am – 12pm
Location: Sabathani Senior Apartments Community Room
3701 3rd Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55409 

Instructor: Siobahn McMahon, University of MN School of Nursing 

This free 8-week course introduces gentle balance and strength exercises that can help you stay steady on your feet. You’ll receive detailed instructions and safety tips, along with movement diagrams to practice at home. To get the most out of the program, participants are encouraged to practice these exercises at least twice per week between sessions. 

Who can join?

This program is perfect for anyone interested in gradually improving balance and leg strength. It’s especially helpful if you’re 60+ and not currently doing balance or strength exercises three times a week.
