Brandon Wimberly joined Sabathani in September 2024 as the Youth Outreach Coordinator. In this role, he offers holistic case management and collaborative support to young adults (ages 16-24) at risk of or experiencing homelessness and crisis. Currently studying Community Development at Minneapolis College, Brandon draws on his own lived experiences to connect deeply with participants, understanding their struggles, stories, and unique journeys.

Brandon approaches his work with an open mind, ensuring that he doesn’t assume what people need. Instead, he directly engages with participants to assess their situations and collaborate on identifying individualized support. His mission is to help participants enhance their quality of life by connecting them to community resources that promote self-esteem, self-reliance, and self-sufficiency. Brandon also supports the development of essential social-emotional skills to help participants overcome challenges and secure stable, permanent housing.

What drives Brandon in this work is witnessing the personal growth and transformation of those he supports as they evolve into stronger, more empowered versions of themselves.
