I am the Be@School Case Manager for Sabathani Community Center. I have a master’s degree in Urban Education from Metropolitan State University and have extensive experience working with youth and families for a decade, including teaching in Minneapolis Public Schools for two years with the Office of Black Student Achievement as a licensed social studies teacher. I worked with youth experiencing homelessness for several years prior to teaching. Additionally, I have been a community organizer and activist in the E. 38th street community where I have lived for more than 15 years. I am committed to working for racial justice in this community and city which has become known around the world for its human rights violations against its Black population.
