Joyce Mayes, a seasoned entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience, found her calling in senior caregiving when she returned to South Minneapolis 12 years ago to support her aging parents. As the new Senior Program Coordinator, she brings a wealth of skills. Joyce founded a faith-based non-profit addressing spiritual and food needs. Volunteering at Volunteers of America, she realized the importance of access to information and support services for seniors. In 2021, she earned a BA in Non-Profit Management at Metro State University (Summa Cum Laude). A dedicated volunteer with AARP, Joyce prioritizes socialization for seniors post-Covid-19. At Sabathani, she aims to provide health, self-care, and fun programs, envisioning a thriving senior community in the Heart of South Minneapolis.
