Transforming Lives Through Food Security
Since 1975, Sabathani Community Center has been a beacon of hope, providing emergency food resources to those in need. Today, our Food Distribution Center continues to make a profound impact on our community by distributing over 45,000 pounds of food each month. We take pride in offering a diverse range of culturally specific, locally sourced, perishable, and shelf-stable items to ensure our community’s nutritional needs are met.
In 2022, our Food Distribution:
- Made 13,244 service deliveries
- Served 39,317 community members
- Served 3,109 community households
- Distributed 385,262 pounds of food
Client Choice: Empowering Individuals
At Sabathani, we believe in upholding the dignity of every person who seeks our services. That’s why our Food Distribution Center operates on a client-choice model. We empower individuals to select their own groceries, enabling them to make choices that align with their dietary preferences, cultural needs, and personal circumstances.
Culturally Specific Foods: Embracing Our Community
Recognizing the rich diversity within our community, we are committed to providing culturally specific food options that are often scarce in traditional food distribution centers.
Community Food Delivery: Extending Our Reach
Our Food Distribution Center offers food delivery services to seniors, combating isolation and promoting overall well-being. Additionally, we extend our reach to those unable to visit our center by delivering food directly to their doorsteps.
