KARE 11: Sabathani Community Center Pledges Switch to Clean Energy

KARE 11 reported on our plan to renovate our building with green infrastructure:

“Did you know that community efforts were already underway to make Minnesota the midwest climate leader? The Sabathani Community Center in South Minneapolis that serves more than 150,000 people a year is one of those leaders…”

Our Community Energy Project includes replacing our 56-year-old boilers with a geo-thermal heating-cooling system, replacing light fixtures with LED lighting, working with Xcel Energy to install a generator for times of power outage, and putting solar panels on roof.
