Janet Brown (she/her) joins the team as Director of Energy & Resilience in October 2025, following five years of strategic consulting in climate and energy planning, project coordination, and development on Sabathani’s Community Energy Project (CEP). A seasoned nonprofit and climate/energy leader, Janet brings over 30 years of experience across environmental, corporate, and nonprofit sectors. She served as Associate Director at Climate Generation, helping grow the organization from a startup to a nationally recognized nonprofit honored by the White House. Her expertise in strategic planning, fundraising, operations, and commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access (DEIA) were key to its success. Janet holds a B.B.A. in Marketing and Business Management from Kent State University and has served on numerous boards. Her work is rooted in equity, energy justice, and community well-being.
