Karena Schrempp serves as Youth Employment Case Manager, working with youth ages 14–17 through the Greener Futures program. In this role, she helps young people build 21st-century workplace skills while exploring careers in sustainability and green industries. Participants gain experience in emotional intelligence, professional development, and hands-on environmental projects connected to the Sabathani campus.

Karena has spent most of her career working with youth and young adults, beginning as an AmeriCorps member serving Minneapolis Public Schools. Before moving into career development, she worked in education, and she has dedicated her professional life to youth-centered schools and nonprofit organizations.

Originally from Minnesota, Karena attended University of St. Thomas, where she double majored in English and Spanish.

Karena is passionate about helping young people discover their strengths and build confidence through meaningful professional experiences. She believes that creating opportunities for youth to explore their potential in supportive work environments can have a lasting impact on their growth and future success.
