Families Together

Families Together is a wellness and prevention program aimed at reducing child welfare involvement and out-of-home placement for families in Hennepin County.

We use a culturally responsive and strength-based approach as we work alongside families to provide services that increase wellbeing and protective factors. We help families create a village of support to navigate difficult seasons, strengthen their relationships, and develop the tools and connections needed to thrive.

Influenced by the Strengthening Families Protective Factors Framework, we aim to increase:

Social Connections
Knowledge of Parenting and Child Development
Concrete Supports
Social and Emotional Competence of Children

Our Services

We do this by providing:

In-home case management services
Mental health services
Parenting education classes
Parent support groups
Family Nights

Our Family Access Coordinators provide psychoeducation and parenting skill development, improve caregiver-child relationships, and seek to establish family stabilization.
