Start Your Electrical Career: MSEEP Spring 2026 Info Session

Discover the Minneapolis Structured Electrical Entry Program (MSEEP) and learn how to start a career in the electrical trades. This free information session covers eligibility, training expectations, benefits, and next steps for the 2026 program cycle. 

What is MSEEP?

MSEEP is a hands-on electrical training program offered through the Minneapolis Electrical JATC. It provides a structured pathway into the electrical trade through a combination of: 

• Classroom Instruction
  Direct Current (DC) Theory • Applied Codeology • Blueprint Reading 
• Hands-On Learning
  Electrical lab projects • Real-world building construction applications 
• Apprenticeship Experience
  Earn wages while gaining practical skills on job sites 
• Career Support
  Mentorship • Career development guidance • Preparation for industry-recognized certifications and licenses

Eligibility Requirements

To apply for MSEEP, you must: 

• Be 17 years old to apply (18 to be hired)
• Be a high school graduate with one full credit of algebra (C or higher) or have a GED
• Have a valid driver’s license

How to Register for the Info Session

Step 1: Create Your JATC Online Account 

You must have an account before signing up for the session. 

1. Visit the JATC login page:
   secure.tradeschoolinc.com/v5/mplsjatc-org/login/index.php 
2. Enter the requested information.
   Use an email address you check often—this becomes your username. 
3. Watch for an email with further instructions. 
4. When prompted, select MSEEP as your reason for creating an account. 
5. Already have an account?
   Reset your password from the login page. Do not create a duplicate account. 

Step 2: Sign Up for the Info Session 

1. Log in to your JATC account at mplsjatc.org 
2. Click the “Class Schedule” tab 
3. In the Special Class Code box (right side), type: sabmseepspr 
4. Click the light blue “View” button 
5. Click the green shopping cart with the blue plus sign to add the session 
6. Select “Proceed to Check Out” (top right) 
7. Click “Sign Up Now” to complete your registration 
8. You’ll receive a confirmation email. If you don’t, contact Dawn Baker at the JATC: dbaker@mplsjatc.org 

Important Notes 

• This registration signs you up for the Info Session only. 
• The MSEEP application process will be explained at the event. 
• The Info Session is free. 
• Do not register for Continuing Education (CE) classes—those are for IBEW members only.
