Black Maternal Health Focus Group
Maternal Health Matters is inviting new and expecting Black mothers and birthing people in South Minneapolis to share their experiences and help strengthen maternal health care for Black families. Participants receive a $50 stipend for taking part in one 90-minute session.

This supportive and restorative yoga series is designed for pregnant individuals and new parents (up to 12 months postpartum). Led by yoga instructor Diceyiana Tejeda, this class focuses on improving physical strength, flexibility, and endurance for childbirth while also reducing stress and anxiety.

Shake things up with smoothies and support! Join us twice a month for a hands-on class where you’ll:
- Learn to make delicious, nutritious smoothies
- Discover the health benefits of each ingredient—for you and your baby
- Follow along with the instructor and enjoy your own creation
- Connect with other expectant and new parents in a welcoming, supportive space
Sister Circle Support Group – Cohorts 1 & 2
You don’t have to navigate this journey alone. Join a warm and welcoming community where Black birthing people are seen, heard, and supported – just as they are.
