Plus, you can earn while you learn! Stipends available for qualified participants.
A potential to get certified! Certification course participants (ages 18+) have an opportunity to sit for the NABCEP PV Associate Exam, which qualifies an individual to design, sell, install, or maintain systems in a supervised capacity.
Course Options
Intro to Solar
Dive into renewable energy basics with interactive sessions and hands-on projects.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Age 17 or older
- Basic high school level reading and math skills
- Preference for BIPOC youth aged 17 to 24 within 6 miles of George Floyd Square.
Dates: June 10 – June 14, 9am – 4:30pm
Duration: 35 hours
Stipend: $630

Solar Certification
Gain essential knowledge in electrical circuits, safety protocols, and Photovoltaics (PV) systems.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Age 17 or older
- Basic high school level reading and algebra skills
- Preference for BIPOC youth aged 18 to 24 within 6 miles of George Floyd Square.
Dates: June 24 – July 2, 9am – 5pm
Duration: 54 hours
Stipend: $972

Can I apply for both courses?
You can apply for one or both courses.
Do I have to take Intro to Solar to take the Solar Certification course?
No, you can sign up for either course, and Intro to Solar is not a prerequisite for Solar Certification.
If I apply for one course am I automatically applied to the other?
No, you’ll need to fill out both applications forms if you want to apply for both courses. Click the red “apply now” button below each course description to access the application form for that course.
