
Shaunequa James is an experienced health equity leader with a deep commitment to advancing equitable outcomes across communities. She holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from St. Catherine University and a master’s in social work from the University of Minnesota.
With a professional background as a mental health therapist, Shaunequa brings a trauma-informed and community-centered lens to her work. She has extensive experience serving on multiple health equity boards and advisory committees, where she collaborates with cross-sector partners to address systemic barriers impacting historically marginalized populations. Shaunequa also brings experience with developing strategies that center community voice, promote culturally responsive practices, and drive meaningful change.
Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time with her four daughters and remains deeply passionate about creating spaces that support healing and wellness.
