Yahynis Tolbert brings more than six years of experience as a Housing Administrative Specialist, with a strong background in housing program administration, compliance, client relations, organizational management, and attention to detail. Her expertise has been built through years of supporting housing initiatives and helping individuals and families navigate complex programs with professionalism and compassion.

In addition to her housing experience, Yahynis has over 20 years of customer service experience spanning county government, nonprofit organizations, and corporate environments. Her diverse career has strengthened her ability to build meaningful relationships, communicate effectively, and deliver exceptional service to a wide range of communities.

Yahynis holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, as well as Associate Degrees in Bookkeeping and Legal Secretary Studies. She is currently enrolled at Bethel College for her Masters in Bibilical Studies.  Her educational background, combined with her extensive professional experience, has equipped her with a unique blend of administrative, analytical, and customer-focused skills.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Yahynis is a blessed wife, devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A proud Saint Paul native who later made Minneapolis home, she values family, community, and service.

Outside of work, Yahynis is an avid sports fan and proudly supports Minnesota’s home teams, including the Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Timberwolves, Minnesota Lynx, and Minnesota Twins. Her passion for sports reflects her enthusiasm, team spirit, and deep connection to the Minnesota community.
