Join us for an immersive experience celebrating African American home traditions and private celebrations.

Discover how African Americans in Minnesota—from the 1800s to today—have created joyful, meaningful interiors in their homes, using artistry, tradition, and resilience to build spaces for celebration and connection.

This unique program features:

  • A panel discussion with community knowledge keepers

  • Exhibits of heirloom tables and artifacts

  • Live DJ and light refreshments

  • A light lunch served during the event
