Construction & Green Energy Career Pathway Training for Adults 18+

Build the skills, confidence, and connections needed to launch a career in construction and green energy industries through this paid workforce training opportunity at Sabathani Community Center. 

The ONWARD Program combines emotional intelligence development, workforce readiness, hands-on technical training, career coaching, and direct industry connections to help participants move toward stable, long-term careers with opportunities for advancement. 

Participants will engage in classroom learning, hands-on training in Sabathani’s Living Learning Lab, networking with employers, and individualized career support throughout the 10-week program. 

Program Schedule – Beginning June 1, 2026

Weeks 1–7

Mondays & Wednesdays, June 1 – July 15
1pm – 3:30pm 

Focus areas include: 

  • Emotional Intelligence (E.I.) Training  
  • Workforce Readiness  
  • Communication & Leadership Skills  
  • Career Preparation  

Weeks 7–10 

Monday through Friday, July 20 – August 7
Technical Skills Training in the Living Learning Lab 
5 hours per day (Training schedule TBD) 

Focus areas include: 

  • Hands-on construction and green energy training  
  • Technical skill development  
  • Industry certifications and credentialing opportunities

Participants must: 

  • Be 18 years of age or older  
  • Be interested in careers in construction, trades, and/or green energy industries  
  • Be willing to participate in workforce readiness and technical skills training  
  • Be able to commit to the full 10-week program schedule
