Peace Jam: Pack the House — A Night of Community, Energy & Joy
Take a look back at Peace Jam: Pack the House — a high-energy evening that brought the Sabathani gym to life. From incredible 3v3 matchups to music by DJ Enferno, the night was filled with skill, connection, and joy. The young players showed up and showed out, and the energy in the room said it all.
Hosted by the Sabathani Violence Interrupters, this event was more than a tournament — it was a reflection of what’s possible when community comes together. This City of Minneapolis–funded program, which launched last summer and concluded at the end of March, has played a vital role in building relationships, reducing retaliatory violence, and connecting neighbors to Sabathani resources.
We’re deeply grateful to Nigel Sharper, Eshia Taylor, and the entire team of Violence Interrupters for their leadership, presence, and commitment to the community.

The joy in the room speaks to what happens when people come together with intention, care, and a shared purpose.
And the momentum continues! Sabathani’s Open Doors program is ongoing for youth ages 10–24, with open gym offered every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. We encourage you to share this opportunity with the young people in your life and keep the energy going. 🔗 Learn more here.
