WCCO: Minnesotans React to Death of Tyre Nichols
Reporter Reg Chapman of WCCO covered our community gathering to help people grieve the recent murder of Tyre Nichols. As the video footage of the encounter between Tyre Nichols and five police officers was released, Sabathani provided a space for those who are hurting to find healing and support.
The WCCO segment includes an interview with Sabathani CEO Scott Redd: “We’re stronger together…I truly believe that we’ve got to listen to each other, and we’ve got to talk. And the police department has to hear us, understand, and feel our pain. We all have a responsibility to make this community better.”
